Professional land clearing, forestry mulching, and site preparation for residential, commercial, and wildfire prevention projects across the Pacific Northwest.
WHAT WE DO
From urban lot clearing to large-scale forestry mulching — we handle it all with heavy machinery and expert crews across Portland and the greater Pacific Northwest.
Full-scale clearing of wooded lots, overgrown parcels, and development sites. We remove trees, brush, and debris to prepare your land for construction, farming, or recreation — efficiently and responsibly.
Targeted removal of invasive species, overgrown brush, blackberry, scotch broom, and dense undergrowth that pose fire risks or hinder land use. Critical for wildfire defensible space in Oregon’s dry summers.
Our Fecon and Diamond mulchers convert trees and brush into natural mulch on-site — no burning, no hauling. Faster, cleaner, and more sustainable than traditional clearing. Perfect for Portland’s eco-conscious property owners.
Professional grading, leveling, and soil compaction for new construction. We work with Portland’s challenging clay soils and steep terrain to create stable, drainage-optimized building pads for homes and commercial structures.
Safe felling and complete stump grinding for hazardous trees, storm damage, and development clearing. Our arborists assess every tree for safe removal, including technical work near structures common in Portland’s urban neighborhoods.
Our site assessors will walk your property and give you a free, no-obligation consultation and quote.

CLIENT REVIEW
Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found their service to be outstanding they start with an arbor who knows trees and then add suggestions come to a plan. The crew shows up on time the day of the work. I watched them work efficiently and quickly asked me questions I offered suggestions. Very pleased with their work and I love my neighbors tree more nowPosted on Dan AshlandTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have used another arborist many times since I moved into this house. I trust them and they do excellent work, but I've been waiting to have this ugly tree removed for six months. I stopped by Monkeyman's on a Friday and the tree was gone without a trace on Wednesday. They even sawed up the trunk for firewood. The price was fair and the job was done right. I'll remember this when I need an arborist again, which I surely will.Posted on Jim KronenbergTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Came in with lowest quote of all 3 companies and did a great job. Had to navigate tree between utility lines and did so flawlessly. Efficient, clean, great value. Would recommend!Posted on T DubTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Saw the great reviews and ads on fb claiming to be the most affordable tree removal company. I got 3 quotes for my tree removal. Large tree about 60 feet tall, but I waited to get a quote from them. My quotes were as follows. $3000, $3500, and from monkey tree $6000. Why they are 2x as much as the other companies that came to give me a quote I’m not sure. Main piece of advice id give is definitely get more than one quote before going with them. Not to discredit their knowledge or customer service. They seemed great, but I can’t justify paying 2x as much for the same exact services. Especially when 2x as much equates to thousands of dollars.Posted on Dominik RazzoukTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. 3/24/26: We had them out a second time and are just as happy as the first. We had Three large trees pruned for health. 40-50' Magnolia thinned and raised the lower canopy for light. Japanese and Red Maple thinned of dead branched and limbs raised off of the roof line. These are these are the original trees from when the house was built in 1978. Great job and cleaned the yard. I asked for my chips for ground cover as well. Great Price! The service from the beginning to end and from the office we above bar. 2021: They were awesome and accepted our project even after the ice storm. We had two trees removed and stumps ground. A Maple crowned and a 40 year old Magnolia lightly thinned. Very happy with the crew!Posted on Lorie CTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had tree trimmed , they came very quickly, was not a big job but they did a great work, very nice and professional cleaned up great and excellent communacation, would use again.Posted on Jeff RobertsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I've been using Monkeyman for years and they always do a great job. They are very professional, friendly, easy to communicate with, and I've always been happy with their work.Posted on Nalani OdaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Monkeyman’s Tree Service delivered outstanding service from beginning to end on March 19, 2026. They were professional, tidy, and demonstrated strong expertise throughout the project. Patrick provided a clear, straightforward quote, and Chris, the owner, was particularly helpful in thoughtfully addressing a few sensitive matters before the work began. The pricing was excellent and very fair for the quality of the work. On site, Anthony, Brandon, and the rest of the crew were professional, courteous, and consistently respectful of the property. Hannah in the office was very friendly, supportive, and communicated clearly.Posted on Helm Rock DevelopmentTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The entire crew was great. Hard-working, professional, easy to communicate with. Matt in particular was very helpful, even after hours when I had an issue with PGE. I will be working with Monkeymans again on a future project.Posted on ScottSparling
